Ukrainian drones attack two oil refineries in Russia, sources say
Drones of Ukraine's Security Service simultaneously attacked two oil refineries in Russia, the Ilsk and Afipsky refineries in the Krasnodar Krai, according to RBC-Ukraine's sources.
According to the sources, a major fire broke out at the Ilsk refinery, damaging a primary processing unit with a capacity of 3.6 million tons per year. Without it, the enemy will not be able to produce diesel fuel for military needs. The price of such a unit is approximately $50 million.
As the sources note, drones also successfully targeted the Afipsky plant, but the consequences are currently being clarified.
Both facilities are located approximately 20 km apart. Local sources report that Russians even had to scramble aircraft into the sky, but this did not help protect the important refineries.
"Such plants are entirely legitimate targets. They not only serve defense purposes and fuel the Russian military but are also important for the Russian economy. Because Russia is a Goliath standing on oil legs. We systematically undermine them. And we will continue to do so until Goliath falls," says the informed source.

A powerful fire broke out in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation overnight on February 9. According to Russian media reports, the fire erupted on the territory of the Ilsk refinery.
Other attacks on Russian refineries
The attacks carried out by Ukrainian drones on Russian refineries are becoming increasingly systematic. Recently, a drone attacked one of the largest oil refineries in Yaroslavl.
Before that, RBC-Ukraine's sources reported that SSU drones struck a refinery in Tuapse, resulting in a significant fire.
SSU drones also successfully targeted the Ust-Luga oil terminal, where fuel is processed, including fuel supplied to the Russian military.
