Ukrainian forces carried out mass overnight strikes on Russian military camps, training grounds, and logistical facilities deep in the rear. More than 20 precise hits were recorded, according to Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, commander of the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Large-scale operation details

The large-scale nighttime attack was conducted by pilots of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces in coordination with other units. The strikes targeted operational depths at distances of 70 to 100 kilometers from the line of contact.

In total, 21 confirmed successful strikes were recorded against targets belonging to several Russian army units.

Brigade commander Robert Brovdi outlined the purpose of these regular strikes against the enemy's rear positions.

"You will have no peace in the rear, you worms," he said.

Destruction of camps, enemy losses

A Russian military camp belonging to the 64th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade was struck by Ukrainian drones in Prymorskyi Posad, on temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region.

This unit was involved in atrocities in Bucha during the occupation of the Kyiv region in 2022. Preliminary confirmed losses in the brigade amount to 31 servicemen, including nine killed, nine wounded, and 13 missing in action.

According to intelligence data, actual Russian losses may be significantly higher, as the training ground was reportedly fully staffed at the time of the operation.

In addition, Ukrainian drone operators struck the Russian "Triokhizbenka" training ground near the settlement of Kriakivka in the occupied Luhansk region. Russia's personnel losses at this site are still being clarified.

Successful strikes were also carried out on a gas storage facility near Yenakiieve in the Donetsk region, and on other adversary's logistical hubs.

Context, previous attacks

Notable that in recent weeks, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces and other units of the Defense Forces have significantly intensified strikes on Russian military and logistical targets deep in the rear.

In particular, on the night of May 30, Ukrainian drones attacked more than 20 military and logistical facilities in Crimea and Taganrog. Targets included elements of oil infrastructure, such as a shadow fleet tanker, the Kurgannefteprodukt oil depot in Russia's Rostov region, and a maritime oil terminal in occupied Feodosia.

In addition, on May 29, Ukrainian special forces from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), using drones, struck the 16th Electronic Intelligence Center of Russia's FSB in the Krasnodar region. The facility was used by Russian forces to guide missiles and drones against Ukrainian territory.

Earlier, on May 20, operators of the Unmanned Systems Forces, together with the SBU, carried out a successful strike on a facility of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences, where drone pilots were trained, and munitions were produced, killing the head of the institution and destroying enemy equipment.
