Russia's oil infrastructure has once again come under attack. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported a strike on an object in the Krasnodar region.
According to the president, the target was located approximately 500 kilometers from the Ukrainian state border.
"It is entirely fair that we are bringing the war back to where it came from. Russia could have ended its aggression long ago, but chose to prolong it instead," Zelenskyy stressed.
He said another Russian oil industry facility in Armavir, Krasnodar region, was hit.
The president thanked Ukraine's Security Service for the operation and its results.
"It is important that step by step we are implementing our plan of long-range sanctions — in response to everything Russia is doing against our country and our people," he emphasized.
Zelenskyy added that Ukraine is using various tools of pressure on Russia — from legal mechanisms to practical strikes on facilities supporting the Russian military economy.
"All types of our sanctions — legal and very practical long-range ones — work toward bringing peace closer. Thank you for your accuracy," the head of state concluded.
Russian oil facilities regularly become targets of drone attacks. On the night of May 30, several fuel infrastructure sites in Russia and occupied Crimea came under drone attack.
At that time, a tanker and a fuel tank at the port of Taganrog caught fire. Russian and OSINT sources also reported possible strikes on an oil depot in Armavir and oil infrastructure in Feodosia.
