The SBU’s Alpha Special Operations Center has struck Russia’s 16th Electronic Intelligence Center of the FSB using drones. The facility is located in the Temryuk district of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, according to the Security Service of Ukraine.
This command site was used by the enemy to guide missile and drone strikes against Ukrainian territory, as well as to intercept signals from foreign satellites.
As a result of the drone attack, key facilities of the center were disabled.
The Security Service emphasized that such operations are of strategic importance, as they weaken Russia’s ability to control airspace, coordinate air defense systems, and direct strikes on Ukraine.
The targeting of electronic intelligence centers opens new opportunities for Ukrainian drones and complicates Russia’s ability to protect military objects deep in the rear.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that in May 2026, drones destroyed an FSB headquarters in the Kherson region, where Ukrainian forces eliminated around 100 Russian personnel.
The strike on the 16th FSB center is not the first time Ukrainian forces have reached key enemy infrastructure far behind the front line.
In the same month, operators from the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces, together with the SBU, destroyed a Russian drone pilot training center within the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences.
