Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov announced his visit to the United States, where he is scheduled to hold talks with American partners on the details of a possible peace agreement.

According to him, together with Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and Member of Parliament David Arahamiya, he will hold a series of meetings in Washington.

"A joint meeting is planned with Steven Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Daniel Driscoll. Ukraine needs a just peace. We are working for results," he wrote.

Ukraine-US talks

Ukraine continues consultations with European and American partners on implementing a peace plan. At the end of December, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Florida, where he met with US President Donald Trump.

Despite statements about full security guarantees for Ukraine, the key and most difficult issue — territorial arrangements — remains unresolved. At the same time, Trump says the parties are close to a compromise, while Zelenskyy notes that the peace plan is 90% ready and security guarantees are 100% prepared.

Recently, a Coalition of the willing meeting took place in Paris at the leaders’ level, after which Kyiv, Paris, and London signed a declaration of intent regarding a possible deployment of a Western contingent in Ukraine.

At the same time, the Kremlin’s special representative Kyrylo Dmitriev was spotted in the French capital. According to media reports, Trump's advisers Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with him to discuss the American peace plan and are also considering a trip to Moscow for talks with Vladimir Putin.

It is expected that by the end of the month, Russia may respond to Ukraine's 20-point peace plan. In addition, next week Kyiv's G7 allies plan to meet with Trump in Davos to secure his support for security guarantees after a ceasefire.
