Ukrainian bus involved in deadly crash in Romania: Foreign Ministry shares details

On the morning of June 30, a traffic accident occurred in Romania's Bacău County involving a bus carrying 60 Ukrainians and a minibus. A Ukrainian woman was among the injured, according to Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the accident occurred during the night of June 30 near the city of Bacău (Nicolae Bălcescu commune, Romania). The crash involved a passenger bus operated by a Ukrainian carrier, carrying 60 Ukrainian citizens. The bus was traveling along the Ukraine–Bulgaria route.
The other vehicle involved was a Romanian-registered minibus carrying five Romanian citizens.
"As a result of the collision, one person was killed (a Romanian citizen), and three others sustained injuries of varying severity — one Ukrainian woman and two Romanian citizens," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
The injured Ukrainian citizen received medical assistance at the scene and did not require hospitalization.
A criminal investigation has been opened in connection with the accident. The Ukrainian drivers were questioned as witnesses. The Ukrainian passengers continued their journey on another bus provided by the carrier.
