Ukrainian army chief says Russians fail to achieve strategic goals on any frontline sector
Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reports heavy fighting on the battlefield. But Russia has not achieved its strategic goal in any of the sectors.
During a phone conversation with the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Charles Brown, Syrskyi expressed his condolences about the large-scale wildfires in California.
The parties also discussed the situation on the front. According to the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU, heavy fighting is taking place on most fronts, but the enemy has not achieved its strategic goal in any sector.
"I thanked General Brown for the positive dynamics in providing material and technical assistance, especially in the supply of air defense systems, heavy equipment, artillery, and aviation ammunition," Syrskyi wrote.
Brown, in turn, stated that the United States would continue to support the Defense Forces.
Frontline situation
According to the General Staff, 124 clashes took place on the front over the past 24 hours. Russia is pressing the most in the Pokrovsk direction. According to the military unit Khortytsia, Russians destroyed a number of important industrial objects in the sector using thermobaric ammunition.
Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an interview with Polish media, confirmed the possibility of the full-scale war ending in 2025.
According to National Guard spokesperson Ruslan Muzychuk, Russians have been more frequently surrendering voluntarily lately.
