Ukrainian army chief held meeting on Unmanned Systems Forces

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi held a monthly meeting on the development of unmanned systems. They discussed the key importance of drones in modern warfare.
According to him, drones not only hold the frontline, but also help to push it forward by destroying Russian equipment and personnel.
“Unmanned systems have become one of the most important elements of the war, saving the lives of our soldiers,” he said.
Syrskyi noted that in February the number of targets hit and destroyed increased by 22% compared to January, and that FPV drones and multi-rotor bombers remain the most effective means.
He also emphasized the importance of exchanging experience between unit commanders, in particular Madiar and Achilles, whose contribution contributes to the improvement of unmanned forces along the entire front line.
The commander paid special attention to the need to introduce a unified standard for the operation of unmanned systems in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to ensure more effective coordination of units. At the same time, he acknowledged that Russia is actively adopting Ukraine's experience and developing its technologies, including fiber-optic drones.
“We have no right to lag behind the enemy in the technological war and must strengthen ourselves at the expense of our own resources,” Syrskyi emphasized.
At the end of the meeting, he set tasks for manning the units of the USF and announced the awarding of the best servicemen.
