On June 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree approving the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to create the Unmanned Systems Forces in Ukraine, according to the relevant document published on the President's website.

"To put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of June 25, 2024 "On the creation of the Unmanned Systems Forces as a separate type of force within the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the decree says.

This decree comes into force from the date of its publication.

New branch of Armed Forces of Ukraine

On June 11, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced the creation of a new branch of the Armed Forces - the Unmanned Systems Forces. According to the Ministry, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will allow them to strike Russian invaders to the fullest possible depth, up to the Urals.

Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi, who is called a legend of the Russian-Ukrainian war, has been appointed commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
