The clearance of a part of the left bank is necessary to "ease the life on the right bank" since the occupying forces continue to shell it, states Natalia Humeniuk, the Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine.

Commenting on the information from the analysts at the American Institute for the Study of War regarding the possible landing of Ukrainian Armed Forces on the left bank of the Kherson region, Humeniuk stated that "it's too early to assert this in a definitive tone since these are the conclusions of analysts."

According to her, one should also not consider the claims of Russian "military experts" as evidence.

"We are talking about the fact that our combat work is being conducted on various fronts, in different ways, and counter-battery fire is being carried out because there is a task to clear a part of the territory on the left bank from the enemy," said the head.

She explained that clearing a part of the left bank is necessary to "ease the life on the right bank" since the occupying forces continue to shell it, including from the air.

According to Humeniuk, the primary task of the Armed Forces now is to "improve the lives of the civilian population."

"We are not talking about a large-scale advancement but rather about combat operations, the results of which can be announced only when there is a confirmed outcome," she said.

According to her, the "declarations" made earlier are detrimental to combat operations, and "work around a certain settlement is not considered complete without a secured result."

It was previously reported that Ukrainian soldiers had used drones to attack Russian positions on the left bank of the Dnipro.
