Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian breakthrough attempt in Kupiansk
The Russian army attempted to break through to the city of Kupiansk today. Their assault was repelled, according to the Telegram channel of Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.
"The Russian army did indeed attempt a breakthrough in Kupiansk today. Several units of equipment and infantry went for the breakthrough and were destroyed by our forces," Kovalenko wrote.
According to him, such assaults have become a common practice for the Russian troops. Russian forces attempt to break into residential areas or outskirts, land airborne troops, and try to establish a foothold before reinforcements arrive.
"Our soldiers did a great job today," Kovalenko noted.
