On December 14, during a strike on an oil depot in the Russian city of Oryol, Ukrainian drones seriously damaged one of the fuel storage tanks. This is evidenced by publicly released satellite images of the affected site, according to the Russian service of Radio Svoboda.

The photographs show at least one damaged fuel storage tank and traces of a large-scale fire, footage of which was previously shared by witnesses.

Attack on the oil depot in Oryol

On the night of December 14, explosions were heard in the Russian city of Oryol. According to eyewitnesses, drones attacked a local oil depot, sparking a large-scale fire on the premises.

Later that evening, a second fuel tank at the depot caught fire, and the blaze continued for several days.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that the military targeted the Stalnoi Kon linear production dispatch station of the company AK North-West Transneftprodukt.

According to sources of RBC-Ukraine, the Defense Forces destroyed 40 tankers of Russian fuel, worth a total of $4 million.
