Trump says Russia has lost control of its diesel oil industry due to war with Ukraine

Russia has lost control of its oil refining sector after Ukraine attacked numerous refineries, some of which were put out of commission, says US President Donald Trump on Truth Social.
“Russia has unfortunately lost control of its diesel oil industry due to its war with Ukraine. A large number of their diesel refineries have been blown up and are, at least temporarily, out of commission,” he said.
Trump emphasized that the “ridiculous and never ending” war with Ukraine must be stopped.
“The whole world suffers as 25,000 people, mostly soldiers, are being killed each month. What a shame!” the US president declared.
Earlier, Axios published details of a phone call between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump. According to a source familiar with the matter, the US president devoted a large part of the call to asking Zelenskyy to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries.
This is not the first time Trump has made such a request to the Ukrainian leader. Previously, the US president had already stated that he had asked Zelenskyy to stop attacks on Russian oil refineries, explaining that this was necessary to curb rising fuel prices.
Trump called on Ukraine to stop strikes on Russian infrastructure, claiming that they were allegedly causing a global diesel fuel shortage.
According to the US president, Zelenskyy should change his tactics.
