Powerful explosions rock Russia's Oryol, oil depot on fire
Explosions occurred overnight in Oryol, a city in the Oryol region of Russia, on December 13-14. Residents alleged an attempted attack on an oil depot, reports Russian Telegram channels.
"Residents of Oryol report powerful explosions. Preliminary information suggests that Ukrainian Armed Forces drones attempted to attack the local oil depot," the Baza Telegram channel stated.
Other Telegram channels also reported the attack. Footage shared online shows a fire breaking out at the local oil depot.
The ASTRA Telegram channel published footage showing the fire at the depot. Witnesses claim that at least one storage tank is ablaze.
Meanwhile, the Russian Telegram channel "Ostorozhno novosti" added that emergency vehicles were dispatched to the site in the city’s northern district following the explosions. Helicopters were also observed operating in the area.
Local authorities have yet to comment on the incident.

The governor of the Oryol region, Andrey Klychkov, reported that a fuel fire occurred at an infrastructure facility following an alleged mass drone attack.
According to him, the debris from the downed drones damaged the windows of several private houses. There were no casualties or injuries.
Notably, on the night of November 11, strike drones attacked the Russian city of Bryansk. The attack reportedly caused a fire at a Transneft oil depot.
Sources within Ukraine's intelligence services clarified to RBC-Ukraine that the attack was carried out by drones operated by Ukraine's Defense Intelligence and Defense Forces.
