Ukrainian Armed Forces advancing in Tavriisk direction: General reports
The counteroffensive of Ukrainian troops in the Tavry direction continues. The Armed Forces repulsed the enemy again, according to the commander of the operational-strategic group Tavria, Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.
"We have advancement in the Tavriisk direction. We are pushing back the enemy," the general wrote.
Ukrainian artillery units have completed 1200 missions in the Tavriisk direction over the course of the day. Defensive forces eliminated 327 occupiers, including 91 confirmed fatalities, 235 wounded, and one more enemy soldier from the Ukrainian Armed Forces was captured.
Furthermore, the soldiers destroyed 34 enemy vehicles:
- 4 tanks;
- 8 armored personnel carriers and rocket-propelled grenade launchers;
- 3 artillery systems and mortars;
- 16 units of automotive and 2 units of specialized equipment.
Additionally, the Defense Forces destroyed two ammunition depots and three command posts of the aggressors.
The Tavriisk direction covers the front line from the Zaporizhzhia region to Avdiivka (the Donetsk region).
Advance in southern Ukraine
This summer, Ukrainian defenders have intensified their offensive actions in the south and southeast of Ukraine. Active battles are ongoing in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions.
Recently, Ukrainian fighters liberated the settlement of Robotyne in the Melitopol direction. According to Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar, Ukrainian troops are moving southeast of Robotyne and south of Mala Tokmachka.
