Ukraine aims to hold a second Peace Summit involving Russia before the US election scheduled for November this year, Bloomberg informs.

Bloomberg reports that Kyiv's desire to organize a meeting before the US election indicates Ukraine's urgency, as it faces the prospect of Donald Trump returning to the White House. The anticipated Republican presidential candidate has boasted about ending the war by the time of his inauguration in January and expressed opposition to continued military support for Kyiv from the US.

According to Bloomberg, a Ukrainian official confirmed the plan to hold a second summit before the US election. Several officials from certain Western allied countries have stated that any meeting must be carefully organized with clear goals and managed expectations.

However, some American officials are not convinced that a Summit with Russia and Ukraine will take place.

Bloomberg also recalled that on Tuesday, July 9th, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking at the Reagan Institute in Washington, called on the US to help organize the second Summit to make it "more powerful and truly decisive."

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that according to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the best way to ensure a ceasefire is Ukraine's membership in NATO.
