Ukraine under drone attack: Shahed UAVs hit 15 locations, air force says

On the night of April 27, Russia launched a new air attack on Ukraine, deploying strike drones from five directions. Two dozen impacts were recorded at multiple locations, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.
As noted, the attack began as early as 18:00 on April 26.
The enemy used 94 Shahed-type UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), as well as Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones.
Drone launches were carried out from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), as well as Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 60 of them were Shaheds.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data as of 09:00, 74 enemy UAVs were shot down or suppressed by air defense in the north, south, and east of the country.
"Impacts of 20 strike UAVs were recorded at 15 locations, as well as crashes of downed drones (debris) at 11 locations," the statement said.

Tonight, Odesa was under a massive attack by Russian drones, which caused significant destruction and a large number of injured civilians, including children.
The greatest damage was recorded in the Prymorskyi district — residential buildings, a hotel, and facilities in the city center were affected. This part of Odesa recorded the highest number of injuries.
The Khadzhibeyskyi and Kyivskyi districts were also hit, where impacts struck high-rise buildings, private housing, and vehicles.
In addition, at night, Russian troops attacked the vessel RAMCO flying the flag of Nauru, which was moving along the Ukrainian maritime corridor.
In the morning, Russian forces launched a mass attack on Koriukivka in the Chernihiv region. Within 40 minutes, the town received 18 drone strikes.
