Ukraine to produce thousands of ground drones in Denmark for its armed forces

Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies and Vidar Industries have agreed to establish a joint venture in Denmark to produce the Ravlyk family of unmanned ground systems, the company's press service reported.
It is noted that the joint venture is expected to expand the industrial base for Ravlyk, strengthen European supply chains, and support the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to obtaining the necessary permits and concluding the relevant commercial agreements.
The cooperation combines UUT technology, systems engineering, and knowledge of operating conditions developed in Ukraine with Vidar Industries' expertise in industrialization, production engineering, quality management, supply chain organization, regulatory compliance, and Danish corporate governance.
In a comment to RBC-Ukraine, the company said that it plans to produce around 3,000 unmanned ground vehicles per year at this production site. The first batch of 500 units is planned for production this year, and the facility will employ around 200 people.
According to the manufacturer, European partners are interested in Ukrainian unmanned ground vehicles, but at this stage of development, production capacity currently covers only Ukraine's needs.
What is known about Ravlyk
Ravlyk is a modular unmanned ground platform designed for logistics, transportation, evacuation of the wounded, engineering support, and other specialized operational tasks. Its architecture allows the platform to be adapted to different use cases through functional modules.
By assigning dangerous tasks involving personnel operating in exposed areas to robotic systems, Ravlyk is intended to reduce risks to military personnel and support units operating in difficult conditions.
Earlier, Ukrainian military demonstrated the Barracuda in action for the first time, which, together with other unmanned systems, attacked Russian positions.
Ukraine's Defense Intelligence said that Ukraine is developing a new system for naval drones that will make it possible both to destroy Russian targets and to detain sanctioned vessels in the Black Sea and then escort them to port for confiscation.
