DOK-ING MV-4 light demining vehicle has been tested in Ukraine. It was tested on three types of soil, according to the Ministry of Economy.

According to the agency, the MV-4 was tested on sand, gravel, and black soil. It was also used in areas with dense vegetation.

Additionally, the MV-4 was subjected to a series of detonations of about 600 grams in TNT equivalent. Following the tests, a certification procedure will be conducted.

The MV-4 is a lightweight robotic demining and explosive ordnance disposal vehicle. It is resistant to anti-personnel mine detonations and unexploded ordnance. The vehicle can withstand the explosion of an anti-tank mine. It can clear an area of up to 1500 m2 per hour. It is operated by remote control, with a range of up to 1500 meters. Overall, there are 300 MV-4 systems operating worldwide. In Ukraine, specialists from the State Emergency Service use it.

Demining in Ukraine

Due to Russian aggression in Ukraine and active hostilities, Ukraine is contaminated with explosive devices. Some analysts call it the most mined country in the world.

Last April, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that Ukraine was initiating a new state policy on humanitarian demining and called on other countries to assist in this area.

Moreover, Ukraine will reimburse the costs of demining orders.

Recently, special equipment exploded in the Kharkiv region during demining operations. No one was injured in the incident
