Ukraine targets key Russian plant producing fuel for multiple rocket systems

Overnight on August 24, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck a Russian military-industrial facility in the Rostov region. The plant produces solid rocket propellant for ammunition used by Uragan, Smerch and Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Overnight on August 24, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Federal State Enterprise Kamensky Combine in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region, Russia. A fire was reported at the facility following the strike.
What the plant produces
The Kamensky Combine is part of Russia's military-industrial complex. The plant specializes in the production of solid rocket propellant.
Its products are used for ammunition for Uragan, Smerch and Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers.
The facility also produces solid rocket propellant for other missile systems and air-launched weapons.
The extent of the damage to the facility is still being assessed. Ukraine's Defense Forces said operations targeting key enemy facilities are ongoing.
What else Ukraine struck overnight on August 24
Overnight on August 24, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck three major logistics facilities belonging to Russian marketplace Ozon in Adygea, Stavropol Krai and Dagestan.
The facilities were located in Enem, covering about 91,200 square meters; Nevinnomyssk, covering about 93,500 square meters; and Tyube, covering approximately 130,000 square meters. Ozon shares fell sharply following reports of the strikes.
Earlier on August 24, Russian forces attacked Chernihiv with a drone, damaging a residential high-rise building in the central part of the city.
