On June 2 and during the night of June 3, units of Ukraine's Defense Forces struck an oil terminal in St. Petersburg and several other important Russian targets, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In particular, the St. Petersburg oil terminal was hit, with the strike and a subsequent fire on the site confirmed.
The terminal is among the largest oil product transshipment complexes in the Baltic region and plays a key role in Russia's fuel export and logistics network. Its annual throughput capacity reaches 10 million tons. The facility is also used to support the needs of the aggressor state's military formations.
In addition, a halt in oil pumping operations was confirmed at the Zenzevatka oil pumping station in Russia's Volgograd region, which was struck on June 2.
Strategic plant and Saky airfield
In addition, the Michurinsk Progress Plant, which manufactures components for precision-guided weapons, came under a drone attack. A fire was recorded on the plant's territory, and the extent of the damage is currently being clarified.
The plant specializes in producing equipment for Russian aircraft and missile control systems, including gyroscopic stabilization devices, autopilots, navigation course indicators, and other elements of flight and navigation systems. These are used in enemy aircraft, missiles, and drones.
Ukraine's Defense Forces also struck the RBSN-4N short-range radio navigation system at the Saky airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Other important enemy targets
A warehouse storing ammunition and drones used by Russian forces (Halytsynivka, Donetsk region), a fuel and lubricant storage facility (Bilolutsk, Luhansk region), and an enemy command and observation post (Selydove, Donetsk region) were also struck.
Following previous attacks on June 2, damage to a technological overpass, an AVT primary oil refining unit, and two RVS-5000 storage tanks at the Ilsky refinery was confirmed.
In addition, following the May 30 strike on the Prymorskyi Posad training ground in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, the destruction of shelters used by Russian personnel was confirmed. The enemy lost about 30 soldiers.
"Ukraine's Defense Forces will continue to systematically take measures to weaken the military and economic potential of the Russian occupiers and compel Russia to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff emphasized.
Drones also attacked Moscow overnight. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin claimed that drones had been shot down and that emergency services were working at the sites where debris fell.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also confirmed strikes on Kronstadt and Tambov. The head of state noted that all three facilities are linked to financing or supplying Russia's war machine.
