Last night, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck some important Russian facilities in the temporarily occupied territories. In particular, an enemy early-warning radar station and drone relay stations were targeted, according to a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Ukrainian troops, the early-warning radar station was successfully "hunted down" near Olenivka in Crimea.

In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a site used for the storage, preparation, and launch of attack UAVs in the Hvardiiske area. It is also located on the peninsula.

"Hits on two ground-based relay stations used to control Geran/Gerbera-type attack UAVs have been confirmed — in Olenivka (Autonomous Republic of Crimea) and Zaliznyi Port (Kherson region)," the General Staff said in a statement.

Importantly, the enemy actively uses ground-based relay stations to ensure stable communications and transmit commands between operators and attack unmanned aerial vehicles. They allow the Russians to increase the range of their strikes.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine also successfully attacked an enemy fuel and lubricants depot in the Melitopol area and a repair unit of the Russian forces near Yakymivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.

On the night of August 7, the Hvardiiske military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea was engulfed in massive fires following a series of powerful explosions. A fuel and lubricants depot was reportedly hit, while two separate fires and ammunition detonations were reported at the airfield.

During the same overnight attack, Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 114 Russian drones, while 29 attack UAVs struck 15 locations across Ukraine.
