Russian forces launched 147 drones of various types at Ukraine overnight, according to a report by the Ukrainian Air Force.

The new enemy attack began at 6:00 p.m. on August 6.

This time, the following were launched toward different regions of Ukraine:

  • Shahed-type drones (including jet-powered variants);

  • Gerbera;

  • Italmas;

  • Parodiya-type decoy drones.

The enemy attack originated from the following directions:

  • Oryol, Russia;

  • Kursk, Russia;

  • Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia;

  • Temporarily occupied Donetsk;

  • Hvardiiske, temporarily occupied Crimea.

The following forces were involved in repelling the enemy air attack:

  • Aviation;

  • Anti-aircraft missile forces;

  • Electronic warfare and unmanned systems units;

  • Mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., air defense shot down/suppressed 114 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and other drones in the north, south, and east of the country," the report said.

In addition, the Ukrainian Air Force confirmed impacts by 29 attack UAVs at 15 locations, as well as debris falling at four locations.

"The attack is ongoing; enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" Ukrainian defenders urged.

Earlier, it was reported when Ukraine's Freyja may begin intercepting ballistic missiles.
