Ukraine's Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in Tatarstan overnight, as well as three other military facilities in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. A fire has already broken out at one of the sites, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Strike on the Taneco oil refinery

On the night of August 10, 2026, units of Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Taneco oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan. The strike was carried out as part of efforts to reduce the military potential of the Russian aggressor.

A fire was reported at the site. The extent of the damage is being assessed.

Attacks in Donetsk and Luhansk regions

In addition, Ukrainian forces struck three other facilities:

  • a repair unit in Khrustalnyi, Luhansk region;

  • a Russian military logistics warehouse in Novoselidivka, Donetsk region;

  • a field artillery ammunition depot in Boiove, Donetsk region.

The General Staff said Ukraine's Defense Forces would continue systematic efforts aimed at ending Russia's armed aggression.

Damage from previous strikes confirmed

The General Staff also confirmed the results of strikes carried out in previous days.

As a result of the August 8 attack on the Ilsky Oil Refinery in Krasnodar Krai, the AVT-6 primary oil refining unit was damaged.

Following the August 3 strike on the Hvardiiske airfield in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, nine horizontal aviation fuel storage tanks were destroyed and two aircraft maintenance hangars were damaged.

It should be recalled that on the morning of August 10, residents of Tatarstan reported explosions and drone attacks on industrial facilities in Nizhnekamsk.

Residents heard drones flying overhead, and the first footage from the scene subsequently appeared online.

Meanwhile, on August 6, Ukrainian drones struck the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl and two FSB Coast Guard vessels in Kerch.

At least six explosions were heard at the facility, and fires broke out in four sections of the plant.
