Ukraine strikes deep into Crimea: Key Russian defense target hit

During the night, Ukrainian defense forces destroyed a launcher of the Bastion coastal missile system on the temporarily occupied peninsula, one of the key elements of Russia's control system over the Black Sea, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
What was destroyed in Crimea
The Bastion launcher was struck in the area of Aktachi on the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Bastion is a coastal missile system that Russia used to cover approaches to the Black Sea and could attack ships at a significant distance from the shore.
Strikes in the east and south
In addition to Crimea, the defense forces carried out strikes in several areas in eastern and southern Ukraine:
- Areas of enemy concentration – Velyka Novosilka (Donetsk region), Khoroshe (Luhansk region), Novozlatopil (Zaporizhzhia region);
- Repair unit – Novozlatopil (Zaporizhzhia region);
- Drone control point – Velyka Novosilka (Donetsk region).
Exact data on enemy losses and the scale of destruction are currently being established.
The General Staff emphasized that the defense forces will continue to strike enemy military targets both in the occupied territories of Ukraine and directly on the territory of Russia.
Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck strategic energy facilities of the Russians. These include the oil terminal Transneft Port Primorsk and the oil refinery Bashneft Ufaneftekhim.
Before that, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also damaged the Saratov oil refinery in Russia. The enterprise is involved in supplying the Russian army.
