General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirms the shutdown of the Syzran oil refinery, as well as strikes on command posts and logistics facilities of the Russian troops.

"On May 25 and during the night of May 26, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck many key Russian targets. In particular, Russia’s command post in Ocheretyne, Donetsk region, and a regiment’s command post in Verkhnia Krynytsia, Zaporizhzhia region were struck," the statement reads.

In addition, Russian drone control centers in the areas of Nesterianka in the Zaporizhzhia region and Novohrodivka in the Donetsk region were struck.

Also, the Russian drone depot, a logistics depot in the Novopetrikivka area of the Donetsk region, and a logistics depot in Donetsk were under attack. A railway tank car carrying fuel and lubricants in the Debaltseve area of the Donetsk region was struck as well.

"Based on the results of previous strikes, it has been confirmed that the Syzran oil refinery (Syzran, Samara region, Russia), which was struck by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on May 21, 2026, has ceased operations," Ukraine's General Staff reports.

On Monday, May 25, the Yaroslavl Linear Production and Dispatch Station was struck, and equipment and tanks were damaged. It was also confirmed that on May 24, Russia's 1L125 Niobium-SV radar station (Yarsk, Luhansk region) was struck.

"The Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to systematically take measures to compel Russia to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine," Ukraine's General Staff emphasizes.

Earlier, Ukrainian drones attacked one of Russia’s largest oil refineries in Yaroslavl.

Following a series of drone attacks, several of the largest oil refineries in central Russia have reduced or completely halted fuel production.
