By the end of the year, Ukraine will open platforms for arms exports to the EU, the US, and the Middle East. Profits from arms sales will make it possible to finance defense needs, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says.

"It is time to start exporting our Ukrainian weapons – those types we have in surplus and can therefore export, to finance the types of weapons that are especially needed for our defense," Zelenskyy says.

The President says that he has already instructed the government, the Office of the President, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, and the entire team to develop and present the key elements of such an export system.

The program already has a working title - Zbroya.

"Agreements are already in place to launch export-import platforms in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. The task is to have these platforms operational by the end of the year," the head of state concludes.

Zelenskyy also expects that the opening of exports and new joint ventures, together with the attraction of investment, will allow Ukraine to further scale up its defense industry.

The President also says that Ukraine has successfully used Neptune missiles and plans to regularly use its own ballistic missiles in the future.

A Ukrainian delegation recently visited the United States. The parties discussed the planned purchase of Ukrainian drones and security cooperation.

Last month, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal promised to provide 1,000 interceptor drones per day in the near future to protect the country from risks posed by Russia.
