Zaporizhzhia is trying to recover from Russia's most intense attack in recent years, which killed 7 people. But the very next night, the city was struck again, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

Casualties and damage in Zaporizhzhia

On the night of August 11, Russia launched 10 ballistic missile strikes and 4 more strikes with guided aerial bombs against the city.

7 residents of Zaporizhzhia were killed; all of them worked at the Zaporizhstal steel plant. Another 24 people were injured and taken to hospitals.

"Currently, 2 of the victims are in critical condition. Doctors are doing everything possible to ensure the victims recover as quickly as possible," Fedorov says.

Due to the Russian attack, Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhzhia's largest enterprise, has suspended operations.

In addition, Russia struck high-voltage power lines. As a result, some settlements were left without power.

On the night of August 11, the initial consequences of the Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia became known. At that time, there were reports of 6 killed and 19 wounded. Russia used North Korean ballistic missiles, Zircon missiles, and guided aerial bombs.

The following night, the Russians attacked the city with suicide drones.

Russian drones struck the Epicenter shopping mall, where a fire immediately broke out. Rescue workers are currently dealing with the aftermath of the Russian attack.

At the same time, a private home was damaged; windows were shattered, and the gate and fence were destroyed. Russian strike left approximately 1,200 residents in one of the city's districts without power.

Utility workers are already working to restore power to residents.
