The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Unmanned Systems Forces have hit more than 168,000 Russian targets worth an estimated $20 billion in the seven months since their creation, the Unmanned Systems Forces reported.

As for the number of combat sorties, more than 832,000 were carried out during the specified period.

Among the enemy targets hit were 532 tanks, about 2,500 guns and howitzers, nearly 7,700 units of automotive equipment, and more than 5,500 units of motorcycle equipment. Drone operators also struck more than 50,000 enemy personnel.

The Unmanned Systems Forces also said they attacked more than 350 targets directly on Russian territory.

The Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine are a separate branch within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, created in 2024 for the centralized use of drones in the war against Russia. The forces combine aerial, maritime, and ground unmanned platforms and play a key role in asymmetric deterrence of the enemy, compensating for shortages of aviation and artillery.

Recent examples of Unmanned Systems Forces operations

Among the achievements of the Unmanned Systems Forces are Russian equipment, installations, factories, and military-industrial complex facilities. For example, recently, the Unmanned Systems Forces struck a radar system of a Russian S-300V surface-to-air missile system in the Donetsk region.

On New Year's Day, January 1, the Unmanned Systems Forces destroyed two expensive Russian air defense systems: a TOR tactical surface-to-air missile system and a 50N6E radar station of the S-350 Vityaz system.

Regarding Russian oil refineries, Ukrainian drones carried out a strike in particular on the Ilsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region, which the General Staff confirmed.

Recently, the Unmanned Systems Forces also struck several Russian military facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
