Fighters of the 413th Raid Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) successfully destroyed a new and rare type of Russian assault vehicle on the border of the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions. This successful strike disrupted the enemy’s plans to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory, reports Ivan Kyrychevskyi, a serviceman of the 413th Raid Regiment of the SBS and a weapons expert at Defense Express.
According to him, the effective work of the Raid fighters prevented the enemy’s "armored fist from advancing into the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region."
"If the enemy equipment had broken through there, Kremlin propaganda would have had a reason to talk about a 'tank offensive on Dnipropetrovsk region,' with all the ensuing consequences. But the effective actions of the Raid fighters thwarted that plan," the expert noted.
The destroyed equipment turned out to be a rare modernization for the Russian army — a T-80BVM tank equipped with mine trawls, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and a new type of anti-drone protection made of rebar.
"Indeed, just a few days ago it became known that the Russians had rolled out this 'wunderwaffe' — the T-80BVM equipped with mine trawls, electronic warfare systems, and a new type of anti-drone protection made of rebar," Kyrychevskyi emphasized.
He added that such an "upgrade" is part of the enemy’s "particular fetish with making their main battle tanks as difficult a target as possible for our strike drones."
The expert stressed that the T-80 is a rare tank family for the Russian forces. Due to depleted reserves and production problems, each such tank "has become worth its weight in gold" and is distributed exclusively to "elite" units.
In addition, he noted that the more the Russian forces "upgrade" their tanks, "the less maneuverable they become, and their lifespan depletes faster — which will only increase the losses and failures of the Russian army."
Recently, occupation forces circulated a propaganda video online falsely claiming they had captured the village of Verbove in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This information was quickly refuted.
According to the Command of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, in reality, only a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) infiltrated the area of Verbove. Their goal was to film a staged video showing the raising of a flag.
However, the enemy DRG was eliminated. Currently, the village of Verbove remains fully under the reliable control of the 110th SMB.
This is not the Russians’ first disinformation attempt — earlier, they had also falsely claimed to have taken control of the village of Kalynivske in the same Dnipropetrovsk region.
