Ukraine's Security Service hit Russian radar on Black Sea oil platforms: Video

The Security Service of Ukraine conducted a combined special operation using sea and air drones in the Black Sea. Russian reconnaissance equipment was destroyed.
Recently, various types of drones were used to destroy Russian radar equipment located on Ukrainian gas production platforms in the Black Sea.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, first, an airborne drone struck one of the towers, and then a naval drone targeted it. The attack destroyed the Neva radar, which was used by the Russians to monitor the air and surface situation, as well as the warehouse and residential unit on the rig.
"During one special operation, the SSU specialists used two types of drones, which demonstrated the effectiveness of pair work. We have once again reminded the enemy that no Russian junk belongs in the Black Sea," the SSU said.
Battle for towers near Crimea
There are gas and oil production platforms off the coast of occupied Crimea, better known as Boyko Towers. Russia seized the platforms back in 2014 and used them for military purposes during the full-scale war.
In particular, radar stations were installed on the towers.
In September 2023, Ukraine regained control of the Boyko Towers in the Black Sea. In August 2024, there were reports of attacks on another gas tower in the Black Sea.
At the same time, Ukrainian Navy Commander Oleksii Neizhpapa had previously stated that the operation against gas production platforms near Crimea would continue. Towers in the Black Sea are an important observation point for the Russians.
