Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), together with British intelligence services, exposed UK citizen Ross David Cutmore, who, according to the investigation, carried out tasks for Russian special services in 2024–2025, sources in the SBU report.
It is noted that the detainee was likely engaged in intelligence and sabotage activities in Ukraine. He is currently under arrest and remains in custody.
According to the source, in 2024, Cutmore arrived in Ukraine as an instructor to help train servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He had combat experience gained during his military service and participation in operations in the Middle East.
The interlocutor also stated that, according to the investigation, Russian intelligence services provided Cutmore with firearms and ammunition to carry out "targeted killings" in Ukraine. In particular, there are grounds to believe that he imported and distributed the weapons used to kill Demyan Hanul, Iryna Farion, and Andriy Parubiy.
SBU exposes Russian agents
Earlier in Dnipro, the SBU and police detained a Russian agent who committed a double terrorist attack on November 23. The agent was detained in hot pursuit and was also found to be a minor.
The SBU also detained an agent of Moscow who, from the territory of the European Union, was searching for perpetrators in Ukraine to carry out terrorist attacks. He turned out to be a 16-year-old resident of Kharkiv.
The SBU also managed to neutralize three members of a hostile cell who were setting up caches with components for explosives for further attacks in the western region of Ukraine. Among them were a 20-year-old resident of Kharkiv region, a 16-year-old schoolgirl, and a 17-year-old boy from Rivne region.
