President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a visit to the UK. The talks will focus on increasing pressure against Russia.

Zelenskyy announced his visit to the UK after another massive Russian attack, which, according to him, could have involved missiles from North Korea.

"Today, during my visit to the United Kingdom, I will be discussing this very issue with our partners — our defense, which must become the foundation of a much stronger collective security. We will also be negotiating new and powerful steps to increase pressure on Russia for this war and to put an end to the strikes," Zelenskyy said.

Ukraine is seeking increased international support amid growing threats. The President emphasized that Russia's aggression is already going beyond the borders and may involve authoritarian regimes, such as Iran and North Korea.

According to the Head of State, the defense of Ukraine today is the basis of security for many other countries, especially those bordering Russia or its allies.

"And everyone in countries neighbouring Russia, Iran, and North Korea should be thinking carefully about whether they could protect lives if this coalition of murderers persists and continues spreading their terror," he said.

Russian attack on Kyiv and region on June 23

On the night of June 23, Russian troops carried out a large-scale combined attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region with Shahed drones and ballistic missiles, striking at residential areas, infrastructure, and civilian facilities.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, a number of residential buildings, office centers, and transportation infrastructure were damaged, including one of the exits from the Sviatoshyn metro station. Russian strikes caused fires that were quickly extinguished by rescuers.

The total number of casualties in Kyiv reached 19, including children and a pregnant woman, and 6 people were killed.

In the Kyiv region, damage was also recorded in 3 districts - Boryspil, Bila Tserkva, and Bucha. Here, Russia struck residential buildings, hospitals, and private facilities, killing a woman and injuring several others.
