Russian attack on Kyiv and region kills at least 6 people

Rescue operations continue in Kyiv and the region after a massive air strike. At least 6 people have been killed, according to Svitlana Vodolaha, head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine's press service.
The number of casualties has increased as a result of Russia's morning combined attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine's press service, at least 5 people have been killed and 13 others injured in Kyiv.
"We have just learned, right now, that we already have 5 killed in this building, unfortunately. We have rescued 10 people," says Vodolaha.
According to her, rescue operations are underway at 3 locations in Kyiv. Over 260 specialists and 60 units of equipment are involved.
Russian attack also struck the Kyiv region. According to preliminary data, one person was killed and eight others were injured.
Work is underway in 2 locations in the region. About 90 rescuers and 20 pieces of equipment are involved.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine does not rule out that the number of victims may increase, as some people go to medical facilities on their own.
As of 8:30 a.m. Kyiv time, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported 6 deaths in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The search and rescue operation continues.
Russian strikes on Kyiv region and Kyiv
Earlier, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration of Ukraine, Mykola Kalashnyk, reported that damage was recorded in 3 districts of the Kyiv region as a result of the Russian attack.
At that time, one woman was officially confirmed killed, and at least 2 others were hospitalized.
Also at night, Russian troops launched a combined attack on Kyiv with kamikaze drones and rockets.
Russia struck several districts of Kyiv, with significant damage to infrastructure, deaths, and injuries.
