On some Russian Shahed drones, electronic warfare (EW) systems may be installed to suppress Ukrainian interceptor drones and jam radars, according to the Telegram channel of Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, an adviser to Ukraine’s Minister of Defense.

According to Beskrestnov, there are reasonable suspicions that some Shahed drones are equipped with two types of EW systems: one for suppressing Ukrainian interceptor drones, and another for jamming radar stations.

The adviser emphasized that the information has not yet been confirmed, but the situation is already being kept under control — pending the establishment of the facts.

Russia continues to improve its drones. Flash previously reported that Shahed drones have begun performing evasive maneuvers when Ukrainian interceptor drones approach.

The first signs of a technical solution allowing UAVs to evade interception have already appeared online.

Russian Gerbera drones have also received more modern antennas, which may indicate an expansion in the production of the relevant systems.

Ukraine is responding technologically: Ukrainian P1‑SUN interceptor drones have for the first time destroyed new‑modification Gerberas that were carrying FPV drones on board to deliver strike drones deep into the country.
