Russians have changed tactics for using Shahed-type kamikaze drones. This time, a large number of drones are moving along the border with Belarus, according to Ukrainian Defense Ministry adviser Serhii Beskrestnov (callsign Flash).

"This time, Shaheds are moving along the border with Belarus at a distance of 5-10 km, literally one after another, and immediately in large numbers. The enemy is counting on overloading our air defense so that as many targets as possible break through deeper into the country toward the west," he said.

Flash stressed that Ukrainian defenders are working. He also added that Russians are preparing for such attacks, conducting reconnaissance of electronic warfare systems and studying the positions of Ukraine's air defense.

"And our task is to predict the enemy's moves," the Defense Ministry adviser emphasized.

The aggressor country launched a new massive drone attack on Ukraine on the morning of May 13. Dozens of enemy strike drones are simultaneously being recorded in the air, while air defense is operating.

Power outages were recorded in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions as a result of Russian strikes on energy facilities.

In addition, the day before, Russia attacked Ukraine with 139 strike drones of different types — Shaheds, Gerberas, Italmas, and Parodiya imitation drones. Ukrainian air defense neutralized 111 of them, but hits by 20 of them were recorded at 13 locations.

There are dead and wounded as a result of an overnight attack on Ukraine.
