Ukraine's MoD reveals when next Ramstein meeting will take place
The next meeting in the Ramstein format will take place in January 2025. During this meeting, further steps to enhance security in Ukraine will be discussed, according to the Ministry of Defense's Telegram channel.
As Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov stated, he had a phone conversation with his Portuguese counterpart, Nuno Melo. During the conversation, he thanked the Portuguese partners for their support of Ukraine. In response, Melo assured that in 2025, Portugal would maintain the same level of assistance as this year.
"We will meet in person in January during the next Ramstein format meeting. We plan to discuss in detail further steps to strengthen security cooperation between Ukraine and Portugal in 2025," Umerov reported.
Ramstein meetings
At the end of October, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a new Ramstein format meeting. He mentioned that it was to take place "in the coming weeks," with US President Joe Biden expected to attend.
However, the Ramstein meeting was postponed due to a hurricane in the United States. At that time, US President Joe Biden was the first to reschedule his visit to Germany, where he was supposed to lead the Ramstein format meeting.
