Zelenskyy announces new Ramstein meeting
For the sake of peace, Ukraine proposes only ideas that can truly contribute to achieving it. The outlines of an upcoming Ramstein format meeting are already known, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He said that Ukraine always puts forth only what can genuinely help bring about real peace. In particular, he emphasized the importance of continually explaining this to partners in Berlin, Washington, and beyond.
"We can already see the outlines of a Ramstein format meeting, expected to take place in the coming weeks. This is important. It is crucial that each support package is fully implemented and that our steps with partners are truly united and as effective as possible," Zelenskyy said.
Rescheduling Ramstein
At the beginning of October, it was reported that US President Joe Biden postponed his visit to Germany, where he was expected to lead the Ramstein format meeting.
Later, Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to the head of the President's Office, mentioned that the meeting could still take place by the end of October.
However, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced that the Ramstein meeting would be held in November. It’s worth noting that the US presidential election is scheduled for November 5, so Ramstein might take place before that date.
