Ukraine's military to get new GYURZA armored pickup for drones, mortars and ammo

In Ukraine, the new armored pickup truck, the UAT.GYURZA-01 PICKUP, based on the already well-known GYURZA-01, has been certified. The vehicle is designed to transport personnel, unmanned systems, mortars, and ammunition in combat zones, according to UkrArmoTech.
The UAT.GYURZA-01 PICKUP was developed for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, law enforcement and intelligence agencies, special-purpose government agencies with law enforcement functions, and civil defense forces.
The vehicle's primary mission is the safe transport of unmanned systems, ammunition, and other cargo, as well as the transport of personnel. The pickup is designed to carry 5 people, including the crew.
Pickup specifications
The armored pickup truck is built on a Dodge Ram 5500 chassis, equipped with a ZF transmission and a 6.7L Cummins engine.
The vehicle's dimensions are 6.42 × 2.66 × 2.54 m, and its gross vehicle weight does not exceed 10,700 ± 200 kg. On paved roads, the pickup can reach speeds of up to 110 km/h.

The hull armor meets Level 2 of the NATO STANAG 4569 standard, while the mine protection meets Levels 3a and 3b of the same standard. The vehicle remains operational in a temperature range from -33°C to +55 degrees.

The pickup is equipped with electronic warfare systems, night vision devices, a surveillance camera system, as well as fire suppression and ventilation systems. If necessary, the vehicle can be further outfitted with other specialized equipment.
The company clarifies that the UAT.GYURZA-01 platform, on which the new pickup truck is based and standardized, is versatile. It can be used not only to transport personnel, ammunition, and equipment, but also for evacuation and logistics missions, as well as a base for mounting various types of equipment.
There is already a request from the military for a medical evacuation vehicle and an explosive ordnance disposal vehicle based on the UAT.GYURZA-01.

Previously, UkrArmoTech also developed the Tisa armored vehicle for radiation and chemical reconnaissance, which was delivered to the National Guard of Ukraine. It will replace the obsolete Soviet UAZ-469RKhB vehicles.
In addition, this summer the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense adopted the INGUAR-4 armored evacuation tractor, which is capable of rapidly extracting armored vehicles weighing up to 30 metric tons from the battlefield.
