The fifth International Crimea Platform Summit is scheduled for September 24. It will take place at the United Nations headquarters in New York, according to Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on Twitter (X).

"Held on the UN’s 80th anniversary, the summit will reaffirm global commitment to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter: sovereignty, territorial integrity of states, and peace," said the head of Ukrainian diplomacy.

He added that the summit will recognize the firm position of the UN General Assembly in upholding respect for the Charter in the context of Russian aggression and the attempted annexation of Ukrainian territory.

Sybiha reminded that since 2014, the UN General Assembly has adopted more than twenty resolutions confirming that Crimea is an integral part of Ukraine.

"We invite all peace-loving UN member states to join the summit, to stand for the Charter and help advance a just and lasting peace in Ukraine in line with the principles of the UN Charter," Sybiha urged.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine commented on Russia’s sham elections in temporarily occupied Crimea and Sevastopol, stating that the results of these Russian pseudo-elections are illegal and will not be recognized.

Previously, we reported that following the illegal elections in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories, cyber specialists from the Defense Intelligence conducted a large-scale attack on the Russian Central Election Commission’s resources on September 14, 2025.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy drew a parallel between the drone attacks in Poland and the occupation of Crimea.
