The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Defense Intelligence, carried out the evacuation of people from the Gaza Strip. Among them were dozens of Ukrainians and Palestinians, according to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on Twitter (X) and the Defense Intelligence (HUR) on Telegram.

According to Sybiha, 48 Ukrainian citizens were evacuated from Gaza, including 14 women and 16 children, as well as 9 Palestinians who are members of Ukrainian families.

"The evacuation was carried out in active combat territory, and two of the evacuees, a 26-year-old Ukrainian and a 58-year-old Palestinian, had injuries. The evacuees received the necessary medical assistance from HUR medical specialists," he clarified.

The plane carrying the evacuees arrived in Chișinău, from where they will return to Ukraine.

Sybiha thanked Israel, Jordan, and Moldova for their assistance with logistics, transit, and the provision of necessary permits.

Details from the Defense Intelligence

The intelligence service clarified that the evacuation operation from the Gaza Strip was very complex due to a critically deteriorating security situation there.

The evacuees are expected to return to Ukraine from Chișinău by bus.

"For a month and a half, we lived in tents with five children. Our house was destroyed by an explosion — thank God everyone survived. When we learned about the evacuation, we immediately decided to go home. I am from the Poltava region — my mother lives there. I thank Ukraine, our President (Volodymyr Zelenskyy), the Defense Intelligence, and everyone who helped in our rescue. They saved our lives," emphasized Lyudmyla, who was evacuated from Gaza.

Israel’s war with Hamas

Active hostilities resumed in the Gaza Strip a few weeks ago. Israel launched an offensive on the largest city of the Palestinian enclave — Gaza.

Yesterday, September 29, US President Donald Trump publicly presented his 20-point peace plan for the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to implement it.

Now everything depends on Hamas. Trump stated that the militants have 3–4 days to respond. He warned that if there is no response or they reject the proposal, the terrorists will face a very grim outcome.
