Ukraine's intelligence intercepts talk on Russian and North Korean military meeting
Russians are preparing to meet North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region. 3 Russian occupants and an interpreter will be assigned to every 30 foreign soldiers, the DIU reports.
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine intercepted conversations of the 810th Separate Marine Brigade of the 18th Army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, which is taking part in combat operations in the Kursk sector.
“In the intercepts, the Russian occupants discuss preparations for the reception and distribution of North Korean servicemen (codenamed Battalion K) in the Kursk sector,” the intelligence officers say.
To organize the interaction, the Russian occupiers plan to assign one interpreter and three Russian servicemen for every 30 North Korean servicemen.
“However, the Russians themselves express doubts about the possibility of providing the newly arrived occupiers with Russian command staff. The number of North Korean military personnel transferred to Russia is now about 12,000 people, including 500 officers, including three Pyongyang generals,” the DIU notes.
