Strike on the Ryazan oil refinery
Last night, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a strategic enemy target—the Ryazan oil refinery. According to Ukraine's General Staff, explosions were recorded in the area of the target, and a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise.
The Ryazan oil refinery is one of the largest in central Russia and belongs to Rosneft. The plant's capacity allows it to process more than 17 million tons of oil per year and plays a key role in supplying fuel to Russian military formations.
The destruction of part of the production facilities reduces the Russian army's ability to conduct combat operations.
Ammunition depot destroyed in Russia's Belgorod region
On the same night, Ukrainian strike drones hit a Russian ammunition depot near the village of Valuyki in the Belgorod region. According to available information, the target was destroyed, and detonations and explosions of ammunition were observed.
"Measures aimed at stopping Russia 's armed aggression against Ukraine are continuing," Ukraine's General Staff says.
Attacks on Ryazan oil refinery
In Russia, on the night of October 23 were loud noises in the Ryazan region. As a result of the drone attack, a fire broke out on the territory of one of the enterprises.
The local governor said that Russian air defense forces allegedly destroyed 14 drones, and debris falling from them caused a fire on the territory of one of the enterprises.
He did not specify which enterprise he was referring to, but residents said that the fire occurred at the Ryazan oil refinery.
This is not the first time that the Ryazan refinery has been attacked by drones. The last time Ukrainian drones attacked the plant was on the night of September 5. The attack was confirmed by Robert Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of these actions, the plant's infrastructure was significantly damaged.
