On the night of August 24, Ukrainian strike drones hit 2 important targets of the Russian regime at once. These were the terminal in the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad Region, Russia) and the oil refinery in Syzran (Samara Region, Russia), according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The targets included the Ust-Luga seaport terminal, Russia's key logistics hub on the Baltic Sea, and an oil refinery in Syzran, which is working to support the war effort. Logistics and combat supply facilities of the Russian army in the Voronezh and Belgorod regions were also hit.

Ukraine's General Staff adds that Ust-Luga is a key hub for Russian logistics in the Baltic region. It is used to circumvent sanctions by exporting oil and gas via tankers of the so-called shadow fleet.

Farewell, Syzran oil refinery

The Russian oil refinery in Syzran, Samara Region, was attacked on the night of August 24 by units of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) and the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "The Syzran Refinery has a design capacity of up to 8.5 million tons of oil per year, which accounts for about 3.08% of the total oil refining volume in Russia. The enterprise specializes in the production of gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, and other petroleum products, which are supplied to the Russian forces," Ukraine's General Staff says.

Other targets

Also, according to the Ukraine's General Staff, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed and damaged many important Russian logistics facilities in the near rear - in the Belgorod and Voronezh regions.

"The results of the strikes are being clarified.
