Residents of Stary Oskol in the Belgorod region heard at least five explosions in the sky. Several more were reported in the Kaluga region. At the same time, unidentified drones were observed over Russian regions, according to Russian Telegram channels and the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Stary Oskol residents heard explosions at 23:40 and 23:50, followed by four more loud blasts.

The drones flew at low altitude, causing windows to shake in several districts and triggering car alarms.

Around 22:00, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, warned of UAV threats on his Telegram channel.

In the Kaluga region, residents also reported hearing several loud explosions, including near the Yermolino military airfield, located in the Borovsky district.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that 57 drones were destroyed over the territories of Bryansk, Kaluga, Smolensk, Kursk, Leningrad, Tver, Novgorod, Oryol, and Tambov regions, Moscow region, the Chuvash Republic, and over the Black Sea.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that on August 23, several Russian airports suspended arrivals and departures due to attacks by unidentified drones. Rosaviatsia announced the suspension of flights at the airports of Saratov, Volgograd, Kaluga, Tambov, Nizhny Novgorod, Ulyanovsk, Kirov, Nizhnekamsk, Kazan, and even Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport.

On the night of August 23, unidentified drones attacked the Volgograd region, causing a fire near a railway station.
