The Ukrainian FP-7 ballistic missile is currently undergoing certification by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, according to Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh.
According to Terekh, the FP-7 missile has a strike variant that can be used to engage ground targets.
In addition, it has already undergone about 15 test launches and is currently in the certification phase at the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
The CEO specifies that this process is expected to be completed within the next two to four weeks.
The company expects to deploy this version of the missile in combat for the first time as early as the beginning of fall 2026.
Furthermore, the first combat launch of the significantly larger FP-9 ballistic missile, capable of reaching Moscow, is planned for late fall.
Terekh notes that the FP-7's architecture is based on Soviet designs for the S-300 and S-400 interceptor missile systems.
At the same time, the new Fire Point missile shares only about 20% of its components with these weapon systems.
Incidentally, it was recently revealed when Ukraine's Freyja system might begin shooting down ballistic missiles.
Fire Point is ahead of its Russian counterparts thanks to its speed of adaptation.
In addition, Fire Point has developed its own turbojet engine for the Flamingo missile.
