Ukraine's Foreign Minister slams Russian strike on Odesa port

Russian forces attacked the Odesa port today, July 3, resulting in the deaths of two people. Six others were injured, stated Ukraine's Foreign Minister
According to Sybiha, the Russian army deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure and a foreign cargo ship. Among the injured are two Syrian nationals.
"This is a barbaric war crime. Russia rejects all attempts to achieve a ceasefire and advance peace. Moscow only escalates terror and must face increased pressure—without delay," his post on X says.

According to the minister, he had recently visited the port, together with his German colleague, Johann Wadephul, and witnessed the damage caused by systematic attacks. He added that the strike is part of Russia’s deliberate campaign against Ukraine’s economy and agriculture, as well as global food security and freedom of navigation.
"We urge a strong international response to this barbaric strike, including clear condemnations and actions to put more pressure on the aggressor and strengthen Ukraine. Moscow must understand that such actions will not be tolerated," the Foreign Minister emphasized.
