Despite its constant statements, Russia does not really want peace in the war. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha says there are at least three factors that prove this, an RBC-Ukraine correspondent reports.

“Russia does not want peace. Putin wants only war. They have not moved away from the language of ultimatums and surrender. And we are now in a new reality of Russian aggression,” he said.

Factors that show that Russia does not want peace

The minister named three facts indicating Russia does not truly want peace.

“The first is the involvement of North Korean military units. This is internationalization and a new dimension of aggression. The second is the destruction of Ukraine's nuclear infrastructure during one of the most massive terrorist missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. They are deliberately exposing the entire world to the risk of a nuclear incident,” the minister said.

The third element that indicates a new dimension of aggression, according to Sybiha, is the launch of an experimental medium-range ballistic missile strike on one of the facilities in Dnipro.

“But in fact, the purpose of this strike was to target the mind, spirit, and public opinion of the West. They know the mentality very well, they are very good at disinformation and propaganda. And that's what this attack was aimed at - first of all, intimidation and nuclear blackmail,” he added.

Russia's massive strikes at Ukraine

In September, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that Russia was preparing strikes on Ukraine's nuclear energy facilities before winter. Since the beginning of the year, the Russians have already attacked Ukraine's energy sector 11 times, two of which were in November.

According to the Air Force, during the attack on Ukraine on November 28, the Russian army used 188 missiles and drones. There were 12 hits, mostly in the fuel and energy sector. Air defense systems shot down more than half of the launched targets.

Reacting to the massive Russian attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Russians used Kalibr cruise missiles with cluster munitions. The damage was reported in 14 regions of Ukraine.
