Ukraine's Third Army Corps and KRAKEN fighters have destroyed a modern Russian Buk-M3 air defense system, according to the Third Army Corps.
MURAMASA drone operators from the 21st Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment KRAKEN, part of the Third Army Corps, detected and successfully struck the enemy air defense missile system as part of Operation Vivaldi.
The Buk-M3 is a multifunctional medium-range air defense system designed to intercept aircraft, helicopters, drones, and cruise missiles. It is also used to protect Russian troops and military facilities from aerial attacks.

The loss of this key air defense system significantly reduces the Russian forces' ability to protect their units on the battlefield.
This is not the first success achieved during the large-scale operations in this area.
Earlier, Ukraine's Third Army Corps continued to liberate Ukrainian territory in the Donetsk region. During the third phase of Operation Vivaldi, Ukrainian troops managed to capture a significant number of Russian soldiers.
In addition, analysts believe that the successful Ukrainian Operation Vivaldi near Lyman could seriously complicate Russia's offensive toward Sloviansk.
