Ukraine’s Forces strikes Russian oil depot in Kaluga region, massive fire ensues
The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (SOF) attacked a Russian oil depot in the Kaluga region, causing a massive fire, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
It is noted that on the night of January 18, SOF units, in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces, launched a successful strike on a "Rosneft" depot in the settlement of Lyudinovo, Kaluga region, Russia.
The General Staff specified that this oil depot is part of the "Kaluganefteprodukt" structure and serves as a logistics hub supplying Russian units directly involved in the war against Ukraine.
"As a result of the attack, a fire broke out on the depot's territory. More detailed information on the results of the operation is being clarified," the statement reads.

Attacks on oil depots
It is worth noting that Ukrainian forces have intensified their strikes on Russian oil depots and refineries in recent days.
For instance, on the night of January 16, SOF and other Defense Forces units struck a Rosneft oil depot in the Voronezh region of Russia, which resulted in a large-scale fire.
Additionally, on the night of January 18, DIU drones attacked an oil depot in the Tula region. According to RBC-Ukraine sources, there were at least ten accurate hits.
